Lilian Rytt
I became interested in yoga during the early 80s when I first arrived in Australia. Originally from Uruguay, I spent time working in Europe and travelling extensively throughout Europe, South America, India and Sri Lanka before settling in Sydney. Ever since, yoga has been part of my life, through ups and downs, changes and stresses, and whatever else comes along; it reconnects me back to my centre.
I became a yoga teacher after many years of practice and study because I love it and want to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with others. My personal yoga practice has developed into a key part of my life. It helps to gather my energy, and makes me feel renewed and rejuvenated. Yoga also helps me to remain centred during my work as a Shiatsu practitioner, Bowen therapist and birth assistant (or Doula).
What makes Yoga Synergy unique is the fact it can be adapted to all people regardless of age and gender; it’s fun, it’s serious, it’s long-lasting and it evolves as you do.
About Lilian
Lilian first became a teacher of Oki Yoga under the tuition of Takao Nakazawa. Later she began practicing Iyengar Yoga with Diane Currie. In 1997, Lilian began studying yoga at Yoga Synergy and completed her Yoga Synergy Teacher Training and the Yoga Synergy Anatomy & Physiology Course (which she has since revised). Lilian has been teaching Shanti (peaceful yoga) and pregnancy yoga since 1999. In 2011, Lilian is looking forward to sharing her extensive knowledge through specialty workshops held at Yoga Synergy for couples preparing for childbirth.
In addition to teaching at Yoga Synergy, Lilian is a Shiatsu practitioner and lecturer at Nature Care College. She is also a Bowen therapist and Radiance therapist. One of Lilian’s primary areas of interest and expertise is bodywork and health – in particular women’s health. Lilian is a trained childbirth educator and birth assistant (or Doula) and has helped many babies enter the world – including those of Yoga Synergy teachers Bianca and Amelia.
